Do the Bright Thing!

One of our partners, Brightlane Learning, has started their Do the Bright Thing Fundraiser. They have a goal of $85,000 by February 28th, 2025.

Homelessness and housing insecurity are on the rise. Brightlane has already enrolled and supported 615 students this school year, an 11% increase over the same time last year. More children are enrolling each week at the shelters and schools where Brightlane provides their programs free to these eager learners.

From the youngest children just beginning to identify letters as they learn to read to teens who may be struggling to graduate, Brightlane meets each student exactly where they are and supports them every step of the way. But we need your help to keep up with this growing need and record enrollment.

You can provide mentor-based tutoring, backpacks, school supplies, and new school clothing to unhoused students that they need right now as we interrupt the cycle of homelessness with the power of education together.

$212 enrolls a new student in Brightlane's programs. $92 provides a week of mentor-based tutoring for a Brightlane student. $60 gives them a backpack filled with grade-level supplies. $10 covers the cost of snacks for a hungry child. Brightlane is also looking for those who would like to volunteer to tutor.
